If you want to use an element you've created on one page again, you can copy it to another page on your site by hovering over the divider, clicking on the little green arrow that shows up on the blue top bar, selecting the page you want it to appear. It shows up on the top of the page you selected. Just move it down to where you'd like to use it. If you'd like to move an element to another page, do the same, except select "Move to" instead. |
This works for any content area element you create in Weebly, including slideshows, image collections, custom html, etc.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is important for leading search engines to your site. There are two places in Weebly to enter your site's SEO — one is for the site in general and one is for each page. Plus, you can tag images to add to the validity of your SEO choices. To add SEO to your site's individual pages and more . . .
_Yes to all. The captions are the sort that runs on the top or bottom of the image in a dark translucent strip. But there is a feature to add links, and you can re-order, add and delete images any time you like, so those are nice things to make up for the caption limitation . . ..

SIRI WEBER FEENEY
Due to elder care issues, I am not able to respond to questions, as I am concentrating on working on existing clients' updates and further projects.
I apologize to those who wrote in and weren't posted. I kept thinking I'd be able to respond and wasn't. Please read the existing posts for answers and don't forget to check the comments. Several related issues were covered within the comments and there are good suggestions from commenters, as well. Also, with the new Weebly interface formatting, click around and you'll find what seems to be all the old features behind visually simplified icons. So, for example, when wishing to change a page type (no header, tall header, etc.), click PAGES, click the page's name in the list, and you'll get all the different types to choose from. If you're really stuck, you can also call Weebly at 1-844-493-3259, also check out Weebly's blog, Weebly tutorials on YouTube and, if you're adventuring into coding, w3schools.com is terrific. My clients tend to be owners of small businesses, writers, illustrators, and artists who need to update their sites frequently.
A template site is easy to update. It frees you from having to depend on someone else to make changes. When someone asks what I'd recommend, these days I say. . . "Switch over to a template website and customize the theme to get rid of the cookie-cutter look." Categories
